It would be my hope and prayer that every Pastor would have a Pastor/friend like Sam Burch in their congregation. His love, support and Christ-like example of a fully devoted follower and servant of Jesus Christ is an inspiration to me and all who meet him.
To Pastors considering having Sam come and minister at their church, here are just a few of the reasons why I would encourage you to do so: Sam is a gifted communicator. His deep and intimate knowledge of the Word combined with his desire to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit make each sermon fresh, anointed and powerful. Sam lives each day with a passion to share the life transforming hope that is found only in Christ...and his passion for Jesus is contagious. So much so that it is not only evident in his pulpit ministry, but also in how he lives his life.
While countless lives in our Clearwater First Church of the Nazarene congregation have been impacted and influenced through his teaching/preaching ministry...even more are spiritually encouraged just by watching him live out his faith with such zeal and enthusiasm.
Sam is also a wonderful example of a Pastor who has embraced the Philippians chapter two servant lifestyle. What I mean by that is this...if you were to have Sam at your church, he would exemplify Philippians 2:3-4 which say, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather in humility, value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others." Sam would not come with an agenda of his own, but rather, Pastor, he will listen to your heart and seek to be an instrument to help your local church and ministry thrive. And what a special gift that is! I am confident that your
congregation will be blessed and spiritually impacted through the ministry of Pastor Sam.
So as you prayerfully consider various guest speaker options for you church… I'd highly recommend you consider the ministry of Pastor Sam Burch.
